Art was always there, quietly waiting.
For most of my life, art was something I loved, but never imagined I would pursue with seriousness. As a child, I enjoyed drawing and painting, often participating in inter-school competitions. Over time, like it happens for many of us, academics, career, family, and responsibility took priority. Art remained present, but quietly in the background.

Years later, during my corporate career, a simple moment brought it back into focus. While facilitating a career development workshop, I listed painting as one of my hobbies. That moment led me to begin learning art seriously.
From weekend classes to a life in art.
What started as weekend classes slowly became a decade-long journey of study, practice, discipline, exhibitions, and artistic growth. Art was no longer just an old interest. It became a space of reflection, patience, skill, and inner steadiness.
My background in leadership, psychology, people development, and organisational life has shaped how I see art as well. I am drawn not only to the finished work, but also to the discipline behind it, the temperament of the artist, the story of practice, and the quiet power that art can bring into a space.
Building a space rooted in care.
Satya Chitra was created to bridge that space. It is a curator-led platform dedicated to representational art — art that is rooted in observation, craftsmanship, emotional truth, and the beauty of the visible world. The intention is to support artists, create meaningful visibility for their work, and help collectors, buyers, corporates, and art enthusiasts engage with art in a way that feels informed, personal, and accessible.
